MEEKER | Several WREA members have received SCAM calls demanding payment and claiming that WREA will shut off power in 30 minutes for failure to pay a bill. If you receive one of these calls, PLEASE hang up and call WREA AT 970-878-5041. WREA DOES NOT ask for payment over the phone and has a written process for delinquent accounts.
August book club
MEEKER | The book club will be choosing biographies individually to read. We will discuss the books on Monday, Aug. 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Meeker Public Library. All are welcome to join in the fun.

Colorado State House of Representative candidate Meghan Lukens (D) is running for the new House District 26 seat (Routt, Moffat, Rio Blanco and a portion of Eagle County) and candidate Dylan Roberts (D) is running for Colorado State Senate District 8.

9 to 5: The Musical
MEEKER | Save the date for Meeker Arts and Cultural Council’s community theater production of “9 to 5: The Musical.” There will be performances Aug. 11, 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. at the Meeker High School Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door and are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. All proceeds support the Meeker Arts and Cultural Council. Production is rated PG-13. Concessions provided by and benefit the Meeker Ecology program.
