P.E.O. quilt show Sept. 9 and 10
MEEKER | Featuring new quilts from across Northwest Colorado, the P.E.O. Quilts in the Country show will be held from 12-5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Fairfield Center (200 Main St., Meeker). LDS conference
RBC | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a two day local conference on Sept. 10 and 11, 2022. Speakers will include church leaders serving in the Vernal Temple, the Denver South mission area, and local church officials of the Craig Stake.
The Saturday, Sept. 10 session for adults will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the Sunday session for all ages will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 11. Meetings will be held in the Craig chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 1295 W 9th St, and are open to anyone interested. Sessions will also be broadcast to church buildings in Baggs, Rangely, Steamboat Springs, Meeker and Granby.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold a women’s conference on Sept. 17, 2022. The conference will begin at 10 a.m. The theme is “Anchored in Christ” with a keynote address by Brad Pelo, an executive producer for the television series about the life of Jesus Christ, “The Chosen”. The agenda also includes two workshops and a service activity to assemble hygiene kits for the Days for Girls nonprofit. This organization benefits women and girls worldwide. Book club Sept. 12
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “A Pearl in the Storm” by Tori McClure and also choosing a banned book individually to read. We will discuss the books on Monday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
