OneSeed fundraiser
MEEKER | Come join us to learn about our partnership with Wisdom Ways Academy in Ghana, West Africa and help us to raise money for their school on Friday, Dec. 10 from 4:30-7 p.m. at Meeker Elementary School. There will be a chili dinner. Chili only is $5 or $15 with purchase of a handmade ceramic bowl. There will also be custom Ghanaian/Africa artwork and gifts for auction, crafts, games and dancing.
Meeker book club
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Still Life” by Louise Penny. We will discuss the book at Meeker Library on Monday, Dec. 13 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Hopewest Handling the Holidays
MEEKER | The holidays can be a difficult time of year with grieving the death of a loved one. HopeWest invites you to a free information session that will provide ideas for self-care, new traditions and memorializing your loved one. You can join one or both sessions on Tuesday, Dec. 14 or Tuesday, Dec. 21 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Meeker Library Meeting Room (Main Street entrance). MVB community holiday project
MEEKER | Let’s help make Christmas scent-sational! Mountain Valley Bank is accepting the following items to be distributed to residents of the Walbridge Wing Senior Center throughout the holiday season: lotion, body wash, body spray, lip balm, classic DVDs and throw blankets. Drop off your items through Dec. 16 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 400 Main Street, Meeker.
MVB holiday card workshop
MEEKER | Children of all ages are welcome to help us spread holiday cheer by creating Christmas cards for residents of the Walbridge Wing Senior Center. All supplies will be provided by MVB. All you need is your imagination and creativity! Join us Dec. 16 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Mountain Valley Bank, 400 Main Street.
