Shoe collection drive ends Feb. 28
MEEKER | Meeker High School student Ainsley Selle has organized a shoe collection drive in Meeker, working with funds2orgs.com to collect shoes for people in third world countries such as Haiti and Africa. Boxes for collecting shoes will be located at Watts Ranch Market, the Church at Meeker, as well as the three school buildings. The last day to get all of the shoes collected will be Feb. 28. Your donations are appreciated.
Wagon Wheel OHV Club meeting Mar. 2
MEEKER | The next meeting of the Wagon Wheel OHV Club will be Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at Kilowatt Korner. Board elections will be held in April. Please step up to keep the club alive and get your membership forms in so your vote counts. Credit card payment is an option but checks are preferred. New membership forms are required annually. LDS Conference March 5–6
MEEKER | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in northwestern Colorado will hold a two day local conference on March 5 and 6, 2022. Speakers will include church leaders serving in the Vernal Temple, the Denver South mission area, and local church officials of the Craig Stake.
The Saturday March 5 session for adults will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and the Sunday session for all ages will be from 10 a.m. to noon on March 6. Meetings will be held in the Craig chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 1295 W 9th St, and are open to anyone interested. Sessions will also be broadcast to LDS chapels in Baggs, Rangely, Steamboat Springs, Meeker and Granby.
Democratic caucus via Zoom
RBC | Rio Blanco County Democrats will have their Precinct Caucus/County Assembly March 5 virtually through the Zoom platform. Each of the five precincts will meet at a different time on March 5. The County Assembly will be held, March 5 at 3 p.m. If a registered Democrat voter is interested in attending the precinct caucus or county assembly, they will need to email Debbie Frazier at [email protected] in order to receive the Zoom link for precinct caucus or county assembly. The following schedule: Precinct #1 Caucus is at 9 a.m. March 5; Precinct #2 Caucus is at 10 a.m. March 5; Precinct #3 Caucus is at 11 a.m. March 5; Precinct #4 Caucus is at 1 p.m. March 5; Precinct #5 Caucus is at 2 p.m., March 5; RBC Democrat Assembly is 3 p.m.
