Free coffee and donuts for Father’s Day

MEEKER | Celebrate Father’s Day with free coffee and donuts at the Heritage Culture Center this Father’s Day from 9-11 a.m., 565 Park Ave.

Annual Cast, Blast & Twang June 18

MEEKER | The annual Cast, Blast, & Twang — a free fishing, archery and shooting event open to all ages — will be held this Saturday, June 18 from 4-8 p.m. at 9 Mile Guest Ranch northeast of Meeker. Activities inclue .22 rifle and shotgun shooting, archery, fly fish casting and spin fishing. The event is free for all ages and no prior experience is needed. Gear, instruction and dinner are provided. Participants can bring their own fishing or archery equipment, but do not bring firearms as they will be provided. Participants over 16 years of age need a current fishing license to participate in the fishing events. Sponsored by RTS Hunting LLC/Visintainer, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, BHO Gunshop, Mule Deer Foundation, JML Outfitters and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Play pickleball downtown

MEEKER | All are welcome to play pickleball on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. between the County Courthouse and the Justice Center in Meeker. No cost to participate. Contact Jim Joy with questions at 970-270-3928.

July book club

MEEKER | The book club will be reading “A Pearl in the Storm: How I Found My Heart in the Middle of the Ocean” by Tori Murden McClure. We will discuss the book on Monday, July 11 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.

Pioneers dinner and dance Aug. 20

MEEKER | Mark your calendars now for the return of the Rio Blanco County Pioneers Association (formerly known as Old Timers) dinner and dance, to be held on Aug. 20, 2022 at the Fairfield Center. More details to follow here and on the association’s Facebook page.
