Car show and ’50s theme day at the Sweet Shop

First Meekerpalooza and Farmers Market tomorrow

MEEKER | Meekerpalooza and Farmers Market Friday, June 10, 4-8 p.m. at Downtown Plaza. Live music, beer garden, spikeball.

Pickleball downtown Mondays and Wednesdays

MEEKER | All are welcome to play pickleball on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. between the County Courthouse and the Justice Center in Meeker. No cost to participate. Contact Jim Joy with questions at 970-270-3928.

Rangeland monitoring workshop

rbc | Spend the morning of June 11 learning the new BLM requirements for monitoring grazing permits and how to use three simple monitoring methods: photo point, line point intercept, landscape appearance monitoring (LAM); followed by an afternoon of hands-on training guided by the NRCS, Forest Service and BLM. $20 per person at the door, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Piceance Creek Rock School House on June 11. Comments on land use plan due

RBC | The White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts and Rio Blanco County (County) are updating the Land and Natural Resources Plan and Policies (LUP) from 2016. The Districts and County are seeking Rio Blanco County citizens input on the updates. Please review the LUP updates by going to www.whiterivercd.com and provide your input by June 15, 2022 as noted on the website. Please call the Districts’ office at 970-250-6825 or the County at 970-878-9586 with any questions.

June book club

MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant” by Anne Tyler. We will discuss the book on Monday, June 13 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.

Board training workshop

MEEKER | June 22, 5-7:30 p.m., Chamber Business Center in Town Hall. All Boards and Special Districts are welcome for a refresher on board roles, responsibilities, management, etc. RSVP 970-878-5510.
