Watch for sheep
MEEKER | The Theos Swallow Ranch will be heading down from summer pasture with two herds of sheep. Watch for the herds coming through from CR 8 through Meeker on Nov. 11 and 12. Drivers are asked to have patience, and locals can help by taking side streets to bypass the sheep when possible.
Support FCCLA and FFA Nov. 11
MEEKER | Support the Meeker High School FCCLA and FFA at the Smoking River Brewing Co. Students will be serving food there on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 5-8 p.m., and Friday, from 12- 8 p.m.
The Family and Consumer Science Culinary Arts Program will be preparing the food, and all proceeds will go to fund students in State and National Competitions.
DWR to host meeting on draft measurement rules
RBC | The Division of Water Resources (DWR) will conduct a Measurement Rules Stakeholders Meeting virtually by Zoom on Nov. 15, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to present an update of the draft Measurement Rules for Water Division 6 and gather initial feedback and comment. DWR conducted in-person stakeholder meetings during October 2021 in Steamboat Springs, Oak Creek, Rangely, Meeker, Walden and Craig. DWR invites participants from those meetings, as well as those who have not been to a meeting, to attend. Alliance movie screening Nov. 22
RBC | The White River Alliance will screen the movie “Kiss the Ground” on Nov. 22 at the VFW in Meeker and a brief update from the Alliance’s committees. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:15 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

RANGELY | The swimming pool and hot tub at Rangely Recreation Center will be closed for resurfacing Dec. 4–27, 2021 (subject to change depending on project completion date) and the entire building will be closed for cleaning Dec. 6–12, 2021.
