RBC I CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Ninth, a nonprofit organization serving abused and neglected children in Garfield, Pitkin and Rio Blanco counties, has hired their first executive director, Sue Schnitzer Levin. Levin has extensive experience in nonprofit operations, law enforcement, running a small business and working with children.
CASA of the Ninth is a member of the National CASA Association and the Colorado CASA Association. CASA of the Ninth’s purpose is to provide well trained, court appointed volunteer advocates to abused and neglected children in Colorado’s Ninth Judicial District. The goal is a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every child served. CASA volunteers speak in court for abused and neglected children, ensuring that they find a safe, permanent home.
