Billy “Bill” Dee Dyer Sr. of Rangely passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 88 in Denver, Colorado. Bill was born on Nov. 9, 1934, in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas to John Dewell Dyer and Laura Viola Mayhafty.
Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and visiting businesses in Rangely. He loved to make people laugh and smile. Bill was honored by Rangely High School by dedicating the 1999 yearbook for his hard work, dedication to staff and students. Bill Dee Dyer was always lending his hand to friends and family. He always looked forward making salsa and jerky to send to friends and family.
He is survived by: Billy Dee Dyer Jr., Debbie Freeman (Darrell), Linda Purvis, Danny Dyer, Lisa Striegel, Jacqueline Nelson, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Bill will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Rangely High School (234 S. Jones Ave.). Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
