Aug. 7, 1963 ~ Oct. 24, 2022
Bobby Joe Brenton passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. Bobby was born on Aug. 7, 1963, to Richard and Elizabeth Brenton. He grew up in Rangely, Colorado, and was married to Lisa, the love of his life, on Oct. 14, 1997. They just celebrated 25 years of marriage.
At the time of his death, Bobby was the operations manager at MCREA where he had worked for 25 years, and 15 years with Moon Lake Electric prior to his move to Fort Morgan. He loved his time as a lineman and had a passion for his career. This was easy to see with his strong work ethic, his abilities as a leader, and the sense of pride he took in all that he did.
On top of his position with MCREA, he was the vice president of Mesa Hotline School and worked closely with CREA, performing safety checks at other REA’s throughout the state.
Bobby enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and group of friends. He loved to golf and stay active, hunt and fish, and tackle sudoku puzzles. His talents were endless and often shined in humble ways.
He is survived by his loving wife Lisa Brenton; son Seth Brenton; and daughter Brianne (Austin) Free; his stepsons Kasey (Amber) Kissling, Dustin (Hannah) Kissling, Colt (Jess) Kissling, Clint (Kadee) Kissling, Adam Carbone and David Carbone; his nine grandchildren, as well as his father, mother, and his five siblings: Rick Brenton, Lisa VanCleave, Peggy Brenton, Elaine Shaffer and Brenda Wood.
A Celebration of Life was held Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the MCREA Warehouse, 734 Barlow Road, Fort Morgan, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family can donate in Bobby’s memory by making checks payable to the Mesa Hotline School Burn Fund, 16107 Highway 14, Sterling, CO 80751, Attn: Jeff Poe. Please write Bobby Brenton Memorial in the memo.
