Charles Michael Cudo, 67, passed away Nov. 6, 2012, of unnatural causes in Rangely, Colo. Chuck Cudo was born on Dec. 19, 1944, in Ladysmith, Wisc., to Carl and Helen (Thomas) Cudo. He had resided in Rangely for more than 30 years.
He worked for Kump Contracting for more than eight years. He then worked for Deserado Mine for approximately 20 years where he retired.
Chuck Cudo is survived by his wife Kanionette Cudo and his dog Jasper, son Todd and spouse Colleen, son Samm and spouse Gayla, daughter Peri and spouse Shannon Braunagel, daughter Renee and spouse Tim Collins, daughter Amy Beatrice, son Craig Strain and son Scott and spouse Brandi Strain, 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, his brother John and spouse Anna Marie, sister Kay and spouse Ron Guinn, sister Joan Stucky, brother Tom and his mother, Helen. He is preceded in death by his father Carl Cudo.
Chuck Cudo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was beloved by all those who came to know him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding 4-wheelers, sharing all parts of the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He was well-known for his “garage” barbecues and fish fries. His door was always open, and he would welcome visitors with a great big smile and a bear hug. He touched many hearts and created many memories that will never be forgotten. We loved him dearly and will miss him more than words can say.
In regards to Chuck’s wishes he will be cremated, his ashes will be spread at the cabin and placed at the cemetery.
