Doris Blanche Henry Tolley, 66, of North Pole, Alaska, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Doris was born on March 4, 1952, in Flagler, Colo. Doris came from a large family and met her husband, William Tolley, who was also from a large family. She was very devoted to her family, friends and her religious beliefs. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting, and was an excellent shot. She went on many adventures with her family and husband in Colorado, then Montana and finally made the long journey to the Last Frontier of Alaska where she spent the last 29 years. She had a heart of gold, a generous spirit and was always thinking of others before herself. Our mom and loving wife fought a yearlong battle with cancer like a warrior. She always tried to stay positive and upbeat during her fight. Our wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother and dear friend will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband, William; daughter, Stephanie; son, Jon; four brothers; one sister; and several grandchildren— both biological and adopted—and great-grandchildren.
