Obituary – Edith May Hall

Jan. 2, 1941 ~ June 17, 2025

Edith May Hall was born on Jan. 2, 1941, in Fairbury, Nebraska, to Harry Adolph Leff and Gertrude Marie Leff (Meester). She passed away on June 17, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Edith had a lifelong love for horses, pansy flowers, drawing, painting, her  computer, and fossil hunting. She volunteered at the Dinosaur Museum, where she enjoyed helping remove bones from plaster casts. She often joked that she was the only person ever bitten by an Allosaurus! On a dig in Wyoming, she even discovered a new fish fossil, which they then named after her.

She delighted in going out to dinner, taking scenic drives, and embarking on adventures of any kind, adventuring anywhere from Nebraska, Colorado or Utah. Edith also had a special fondness for birds, often feeding them and spending peaceful evenings on the porch watching and listening to them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Doyle Leff, and Kenneth Leff, ex-husband Joseph Carl Hall and her son William Carl Hall.

She is survived by her twin brother Eldon Leff, son Bobby Joe Hall, and daughter Marie Ann Hall (Daniels). Along with daughters-in-law Kristi Hall, Becky Hall and Jennifer Hall; granddaughter-in-law Julie; grandchildren Riley, Joseph, Heather, McKade and Josie; great-grandchildren Jayda, Jaxton, Jamie, Derrick and Gunner as well as many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Kind and caring, Edith never hesitated to help those in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
