Eric Wayne Lone, 54, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away on Dec. 5, 2024, from unconfirmed complications of pancreatic cancer.
Eric was born on Jan. 21, 1970, to Ruth Arlene (Henne) and Ronald Wayne Lone in Englewood, Colorado.
Growing up, Eric lived in many places, Englewood, Colorado; Northglenn, Colorado; Rapid City, South Dakota; Meeker, Colorado; and then Las Vegas, Nevada, where he graduated from high school. After his graduation, he had a call to duty and joined the United States Marine Corps on Oct. 4, 1988. While in the Marine Corps he served in Granada, Panama, Okinawa, Thailand, and the Persian Gulf War and received many medals. He was honorably discharged on June 1, 1997.
While he was in the Marine Corps, he met Carla Snipes, and they later married. In that union, their son Taylor Wayne was born. Later on in life Eric met Kathy McClurg, and they had a son together, Wesley Jared. Eric loved his boys and was so proud to be their dad.
Eric was skilled in fiber optics and metal fabrication, which took him many places throughout the United States. Eric was preceded in death by his mother Ruth, stepfather Harold, sister Karri, stepsister Connie, and grandparents. He is survived by his father Ron (Carrol) Lone, sister Vicki (Stanley) Crawford, sister Laura (Sean) Thorp, brother Ray (Danielle) Paris, sister JeAnne Waite, sister Donna (Duane) Brown, sister Jeri Waite, sister Keri Merriman, brother Curt Waite, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, with a memorial luncheon immediately following at V.F.W. Post 322 in Englewood, Colorado.
