Gary L. Orton, 63, of Olivehurst, Calif., passed away at Rideout Memorial Hospital on April 14, 2010. He was born on Oct. 10, 1946, in Hayden. He was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 40 years and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a senior master sergeant.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Coralee Orton of Olivehurst; daughter and son-in-law Nicole and Mike Lytle of Marysville, Calif.; son Christopher Orton of Olivehurst; two grandchildren, Haley and Chase Lytle. He is also survived by sister and brother-in-law Sue and Mick Carter of Hotchkiss; sister Kathy Cleveringa of Jasper, Minn.; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Kay Orton of Collbran; sister and brother-in-law Christine and David Nutter of Denver; brother David Reddin of Grand Junction; and sister and brother-in-law Dr. Paula and Greg Maness of San Diego.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother Michael Orton. Gary also had a big part in the District 2 Little League as the assistant district administrator.
