Obituary – Georgia Lee Sutton

Dec. 6, 1941 ~ Feb. 14, 2026

Georgia Lee Sutton went home to be with the Lord, Feb. 14, 2026.  Georgia was born in Meeker, Colorado, Dec. 6, 1941, to Gale and Amber Perrine. She attended primary through high School and graduated in Meeker.  She became the wife of Howard Sutton in 1960 and followed him in life on multiple oil field career assignments both domestic and overseas. She attended Frontier School of the Bible and was involved with children’s ministries throughout her life.  She was widowed in 2011 and also preceded in death by her parents, sister Leona Graham, and grandson Duke Sutton. She is survived by her children Fred Sutton of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and Amber Tyndall of Nucla, Colorado. She was blessed with and loved her grandchildren Alexis Koontz, Amanda Saltas, Jake Koontz, Waylon Sutton and Robert Koontz. She also loved 12 great-grandchildren she was blessed with. We know she now rests in peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at Christ Chapel, Grand Junction, Colorado. It would please Georgia and the family to honor her life with donations to The Gideons International, visit SendTheWord.org
