Hazel Edwards, 93, a lifelong resident of Rio Blanco County passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Hazel was born in Meeker, Colorado, to parents Oscar and Lulu Sizemore. She was raised with two older brothers Roscoe Sizemore, Roy Sizemore, and younger sister Thelma (Sizemore) Moore 39 miles up the White River at Sizemore’s Resort.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Elton “Scrub” Edwards, son Elton Jr. , and three siblings. She is survived by her children Linda (Bill) Webster, Ellen Boudreaux, Phil (Scarlett) Edwards, Patty Edwards and Paul (Cyndie) Edwards, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with two on the way.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at The Church at Meeker, 1032 Jennifer Dr., Meeker, Colorado, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers you can donate to Meeker Awana Club for the children. Donations can be sent to The Church at Meeker, P. O. Box 663, Meeker, Co 81641
