Irene Thronburg, 91, of Rangely, Colorado died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Rangely District Hospital.
She was born July 5,1916, in Wisner, Neb., to Arnold and Ottelia (Paege) Melcher.
Irene started work on the F.W. Mockler ranch near Dubois, Wyo., in November 1937, cooking and babysitting for her former school teacher. Here, she met John Raymond Thronburg, and they were married on Sept. 24, 1938, in Lander, Wyo.…
