Jannis Knoblock passed away on Feb. 10, 2022, in Bowie, Arizona. She was born in 1947 in Rangely, Colorado, to Slim and Alma Hegwer. She graduated from Rangely High School and attended one year at Rangely Junior College. She then married her high school boyfriend Bill Knoblock. They moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where Bill finished his tour with the United States Navy. They then moved to Soldotna, Alaska where Bill was employed by Marathon Oil Company. They spent 25 years there enjoying the beautiful Alaska summers and raising two sons. They then moved back to the country they loved and settled in Vernal, Utah, in 1993. They spent the last 15 winters in Arizona enjoying the mild desert winters.
Jannis is survived by her husband Bill Knoblock of Vernal, Utah; two sons Shawn Knoblock of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lance Knoblock of Reno, Nevada; four grandchildren; and a brother Don Hegwer in Soldotna, Alaska.
