Jean Kincaid (Comstock) Hejl, 98, passed away on Nov. 17, 2019, at her home in Rangely, Colorado. Jean was born on Sept. 22, 1921, to Frances Pauline Kincaid and John Comstock Jr. in Longmont, Colorado. Jean married Ralph Kraft on July 3, 1939, in Otis, Kansas. From this union they had five kids: John David Kraft (deceased), Shirley Ann (Kraft) Rauch, Richard Ralph Kraft, Peggy Jean (Kraft) Davis, and Steven Wayne Kraft. They later divorced in 1963.
Jean later married Edward Joseph Hejl on Nov. 7, 1964, in Aurora, Colorado.
Jean was a loving and devoted mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Jean enjoyed being a real estate broker, gardening and working in her yard, sewing and crafts, traveling, playing cards and spending time with her family. Jean was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Rangely Garden Club. Jean also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
Jean is survived by her daughters Shirley Ann (Kraft) Rauch of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Peggy Jean (Kraft) Davis of Elizabeth, Colorado; sons Richard Ralph Kraft of Salina, Kansas and Steven Wayne Kraft of Rangely, Colorado. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Jean will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents John Comstock Jr. and Frances Pauline (Kincaid) Comstock, her husband Edward, her son John David Kraft, sisters Frances “Peggy” Zenobia, Maxine Piercy and Jessie Crescentini.
