Joan (Joanie) Alice Emmett Dyer passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2024, at the age of 86 at Rangely District Hospital in Rangely, Colorado. Joan was born on Oct. 3, 1937, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to George Arthur and Grace Blakney Emmett.
When she was 16-years-old her father moved his family to California, where Joan later met Billy Dee Dyer Sr. They were married on Jan. 27, 1957.…
