Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend Kenneth Ralph Hanzon, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2010, at his home in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on July 13, 1920, in Cedar City, Utah, to Ralph Eugene and Irene Harris Hanzon. Kenneth graduated from Cedar City High School and received a bachelor degree from Denver University. During World War II, he proudly served in the Army for his country. Kenneth married Louise Mackelprang, and together they had four wonderful children.
Kenneth loved to go golfing, skiing, boating, fishing, camping and hunting. You could say that he loved the great outdoors and everything that goes with it.
He is survived by his wife Louise. His children: Kenneth Craig (Teresa Ann) Hanzon of Castle Rock, Boyd Duane (Jane Thais) Hanzon of Broomfield, Peggy Ann (Lannie) Massey of Rangely, and Susan Kay (Paul) Milne of Porterville Calif.; his sisters Alma Huntington of Florida and Marlene (Norman) Prince of California. Along with 13 wonderful grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Romaine Foster.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Cedar City 9th Ward located at 256 South 900 West in Cedar City. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent at www.southernutahmortuary.com.
