Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Adair, 50, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, in Craig, Colo.
Lawrence was born June 12, 1961, in Colorado Springs. He was a 1979 graduate of Rolla Senior High, and a 1980 graduate of Linn Technical College.
He moved to Colorado at age 20 and worked in the gas and oil fields of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming until his death.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
Lawrence is survived by his parents, Howard and Ruth (Martin) Adair of Rolla; his common-law wife of 17 years, Pam Lathrop of Craig; Pam’s children, Nicole Pickens, Patty Lathrop and John Lathrop; grandsons Aiden and Konor Lathrop’ granddaughter Kali Lathrop; brother Don Adair of Dinosaur; sisters Susan Kae Lucero and her husband Gilbert of Dinosaur, and Rosemary Henry and her husband Allen of Polo; five nephews, 10 nieces, eight grandnephews and nine grandnieces; and many other extended family and friends.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his sisters Darla Jan Adair and Deborah Anne Grotha; his grandparents, and two uncles.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Rolla City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends was also held on Tuesday at James & Gahr Mortuary, which handled arrangements in Rolla.
