Obituary – Mark A. Curto

1962 ~ Oct. 18, 2025

Mark A. Curto of Pueblo (formerly of Meeker and Alamosa, Colorado), died peacefully on Oct. 18, 2025.

Mark worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation for 18 years in Meeker until his retirement before moving to Pueblo. His skills and knowledge as a snowplow driver would kick into gear at the first sign of winter weather to clear the roads for safe passage.

Prior to moving to Meeker, he worked at the Monte Vista CO-OP, in a customer service capacity.

He worked on the family farm growing up, and took that work ethic and knowledge into other professions including meat cutter, truck driver, and more.

Mark was an avid gun enthusiast and advocated for gun rights, safety and responsibility. He could be found at the gun range or in the mountains hunting with family and friends whenever he could.

He shared his love of hunting and the outdoors with his wife and daughters, and they continue that love today.

He had an incredible mind for numbers and math. He could calculate numbers in his head when most people needed a calculator.

He was a voracious reader of western books and movies.

He is survived by his wife, Debi; daughters Lynnae (Tom) Magera, and Shawna Curto; sisters Nancy Runco, Donna (Cliff) Martin and Mary Ann (John) Amari. Also survived by his uncle, numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Diana; his grandparents, other family members and friends.

Per Mark’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a cause of your choice in his memory.
