After graduating from Meeker High School in May of 1959, Patty married Alfred Marlin George in June of the same year. With this union, Patty gained two more children, John Travis Anderson and Tracey Dawn (Anderson) Olmsted.

Patty was extremely passionate about the preservation and history of Rio Blanco County. Because of Patty’s passion for Rio Blanco County, history and family, her family invites the public to a viewing at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15. This will be held at Grant Mortuary in Meeker. The family will be branding Patty’s casket at the viewing, and anyone that would like to place their brand on Patty’s casket is welcome to do so at that time.

Services will be held Monday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m., with graveside services immediately following.  Everyone is invited to attend services, and the luncheon at the 4-H building in Meeker, Colorado. Please dress casual and wear your best turquoise jewelry in memory of Patty, and be prepared to share memories in celebration of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rio Blanco County Historical Society or the White River Museum in Patty’s memory.
