Rebecca Starr Corbett was born in Delta, Colorado, on Jan. 19, 1979, to Juanita Corbett Edwards and Sam Shirley. Rebecca was raised in Paonia, Colorado. She worked at City Market in Hotchkiss for a few years, then moved to Grand Junction and worked for Lowes. She held multiple jobs that led her to Pueblo where she was presently living.
She is survived by three wonderful children: Samuel Corbett (24), Urijah Kolb (20), and Emily Kolb (18). She is also survived by her mother Juanita (Bill) Edwards; sister Kristina Kendall; brothers Kasey Kendall, Jarrod (Carey) Edwards, and Cale (Jessie) Edwards, as well as nephew Ian Sheets, niece Tearna (Keegan) Bangs and son, and nephew Riley Kendall, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Adrian and Rachel Corbett, three aunts and an uncle.
Rebecca loved the mountains and her hobbies were hiking, backpacking, camping, rock hunting and collecting, foraging for edible plants, mycology, finding arrowheads and joy riding in the hills. She also loved crafting, cooking, woodworking, photography, music, creative writing and writing poems. But what she loved the most was her kids, family and friends.
She will always hold a spot in our heart and will be greatly missed by us all.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.
