Ruth Ann White passed away on July 20, 2010, at the Walbridge Wing in Meeker at the age of 73. Ruth was born to Alva and Rosebud Newman on Sept. 10, 1936, in Oak Creek, and has seven brothers and sisters.
Ruth spent her childhood in Colorado. She graduated from Central High School in 1955. On July 25, 1955, she married Robert Lee White, in Grand Junction. They had two daughters and one son. Ruth pursued the nursing profession an became a registered nurse. She worked in all departments of the hospital from NICU to ER. She loved her patients and loved to help people. She worked in various hospitals in Colorado and Nevada.
Ruth and Robert moved to Las Vegas in 1983. They owned and operated A-1 bail bonds. Ruth loved to spend time with family. Gardening was one of her favorite past-times. She loved the outdoors and sunbathing. There was never a book that Ruth had not read. She loved taking walks with her late dog Freckles. She loved angels and spending time with her grandkids. She loved the pictures of family and drawings made by them.
Ruth was proceeded in death by her parents, Alva and Rosebud and her husband Robert. She is survived by her sisters: Betty Morlan of Meeker; Kelly of Pahrump Nev., Sheila of Pahrump, and Roberta of Bakersfield, Calif.; and her brothers Kenneth of Texas, Thomas (Sara) of Arizona, and Clinton (Peggy) of Las Vegas; three children Lee Ann (Les) of Collbran; Cynthia of Denver and Robert (Rochelle) of Crawford; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community. She touched lots of lives in her lifetime. The family would like to thank the Walbridge Wing in Meeker for all the joy they brought Ruth’s life.
A celebration of life was held in Meeker on July 24, 2010, at Betty Morlan’s. Arrangements were made by Rio Blanco Funeral Home of Meeker.
