Sally Ridings, also known as Ineva Arlene Cook, after a long battle with dementia passed away in the presence of her loved ones at the Rangely District Hospital on Dec. 31, 2024. Sally was born Oct. 13, 1931, as Ineva Arlene Cook to Robert and Daisy Cook in Wray, Colorado, where she spent time helping out on the farm and with her younger siblings. She was the sixth child born in a family of thirteen. She was a long time resident of Meeker and raised six children and two stepchildren there. Sally was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved taking care of her home, making big meals for her family and going fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Daisy Cook and all 12 of her siblings: Dorothy, Charley, Walter, James, Roy, Ada, Catherine, Lois, Samuel, Thomas, Carol and Mary as well as her son Richard Visich and her husband Joseph Ridings. She is survived by Kathleen and Terry Drake of Rangely, Colorado; Ronald and Linda Visich of Onalaska, Texas; Thomas Ridings of Meeker, Colorado; Edward and Tonya Ridings of Grand Junction, Colorado; Tammy Drake and Dean Devereaux of Meeker, Colorado; Martha Ridings of Meeker, Colorado; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family and friends of Sally will be honoring her life with a memorial service at the White River Methodist Church in Meeker, Colorado on Jan. 25, 2025, at 2 p.m.
