Obituary: Sean Thomas Sanders

Aug. 16, 1989 ~ Nov. 21, 2021

On Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, Sean Thomas Sanders “Seany T” passed away at the age of 32.  Sean was born on Aug. 16, 1989, in Indian Hills, Colorado, to Scott Sanders and Karen Sanders. Sean spent his formative years in Applewood, Colorado, graduating from Wheat Ridge High School then continuing on to study at Colorado Mesa University then moving to Fort Collins and attending Front Range Community College.

Sean was an avid outdoorsman, having climbed many of Colorado’s 14ers with his friends and family, fly fishing Colorado’s streams with his brother Kelly and camping countless times with his brother, cousins and friends. He was a talented carpenter and was currently building his dream home on the White River in Buford, Colorado, with his fiancé Quinn, brother Kelly and his dad and mentor, Scott. In addition to building their dream home, Sean and Quinn shared a love of gardening and had recently built “Pa’s Pantry,” a greenhouse in Buford. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan and claimed he was the biggest Broncos fan in the Sanders family — a true feat.

Sean is reunited in the afterlife with his Grandparents Gary and Beverly Sanders “Granny and Pa,” his Grandpa John Miller “Papa John”, his cousin Ryan White and his dog Bandit.

Sean is survived by his soulmate and fiancé, Quinn Olson; his best friend and brother Kelly Sanders, his devoted mother Karen Sanders, his father Scott (Jody) Sanders, his grandmother Barbara Miller, countless family members, friends and his dog, Aggie.

Sean was a gentle soul, an amazing son, a wonderful partner and a joy to be around.  He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.  We love you Sean, until we meet again.

A celebration of Sean’s life will be held at a later date.
