Shirley M. Goosman

Shirley M. Goosman passed away on June 11, 2019. Services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Meeker at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Meeker.
The daughter of William H. and Marie E. (Casseday) Potter, she was a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School and the University of Denver.
On Sept. 30, 1944, she was united in marriage to William E. Goosman, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2001.
During her professional career Shirley was employed in banks, as an accountant and served eight years as deputy county treasurer, after which she and her husband, Bill, purchased Colescott Agency, then selling the insurance business and continuing their operation as brokers of Goosman Realty, later to become Points West Properties.
Shirley enjoyed golf, fishing, cooking, oil painting and experiencing new challenges such as her introduction to the computer at well past 75 years old. She leaves nieces and nephews as well as close friends who so complemented her busy life with love and joy.
