Stanley Taylor “Stan” Rasmussen, 77, of Rangely, Colorado, passed away on Jan. 29, 2022. Stan was born on Jan. 17, 1945, to Thelma McGrew and Manfred Rasmussen in Segal, Kentucky.
Stan married Terri Cloward in Grand Junction Colorado. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock hunting, raising cage birds, champion show pigeons, his green houses and working in his yard. Most of all he enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife Terri; daughters, Jannie (Bill) Leigh of Rifle and Jayda (Brad) Lewis of Rangely; sister Charlene (Jack) Brown; brother Ronnie Rasmussen; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents “Doc” Manfred and Thelma Rasmussen; brothers Larry, Terry, Delbert, Alton and Mike; and sister Suzi Tomlinson.
A celebration of life for Stan will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Rangely LDS Church (125 Eagle Crest St., Rangely, Colorado). Online condolences may be shared at www.AshleyValleyFuneralHome.com. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
