MEEKER | Rio Blanco County and Pioneers Medical Center are pleased to announce the ongoing Meeker Streaker transportation schedule for out-of-town medical and essential service appointments.
The Meeker Streaker is a public transit and senior transportation service designed primarily for senior citizens and disabled residents who are unable to drive themselves. The service helps provide transportation access for medical appointments and other essential healthcare-related needs.
The regular out-of-town transportation schedule will include:
• First Monday of each month — Rifle and Glenwood Springs
• Third Monday of each month — Craig
• Every Wednesday — Grand Junction
Upcoming scheduled dates include:
• Rifle and Glenwood Springs — July 6
• Craig — July 20
• Grand Junction — July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Passengers requesting transportation must contact the Meeker Streaker at least one week in advance to reserve a ride. Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled trip. Riders with repeated no-shows or repeated late cancellations may become ineligible for future transportation services.
Regular operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that return times for out-of-town transportation may extend beyond regular business hours due to travel and appointment schedules.
Transportation services are subject to staffing, weather, and vehicle availability. If your appointment falls outside of the regular transportation schedule, please call 970-456-7701.
