The Meeker Chamber of Commerce held an open house celebration for the new Business Center located on the second floor of Town Hall Aug. 11. Through an Economic Development Recovery Grant, donations by White River Electric, Basin Electric and Tristate and a partnership with the Town of Meeker, the second floor has been renovated to accommodate the Chamber offices, conference and meeting rooms space for business support services and space for the Colorado Workforce Center office. The Business Center will provide Chamber membership and Main Street programs, and the new Biz First program will provide access to networking, counseling, workshops and more business support services. The log cabin at Seventh and Market St. remains open as the Visitor Center. Outreach about the additional location and Business Center services will continue as the Chamber seeks community input to ensure this space provides a much needed place to advance growth and impact of our local businesses. The Chamber is seeking community input to help direct the future usage of the business center and has a survey on their website: https://meekerchamber.com/chambernews/
The new business center will be a “hub of entrepreneurial activity” and the Chamber invites anyone to stop by anytime.
