MEEKER I The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a proposal to develop a comprehensive non-motorized trail network near Meeker.
The proposed project outlines two alternative trail systems in the China Wall area to provide recreation opportunities for hikers, runners, mountain bikers and other non-motorized trail users. The alternatives provide a range from 17 to 22 miles of trails.
Public input will provide BLM planners with information helpful in selecting the alternative that best meets public needs. New trail construction is planned for the summer of 2015.

The BLM will host a public meeting regarding this proposal Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the White River Field Office in Meeker.
