RBC I The federal Office of Surface Mining is seeking public comment regarding the possible closing of the Colowyo Coal Mine nears Craig, which employs roughly 200 employees in Moffat and Rio Blanco counties.
The OSM has released its draft Environmental Assessment, and the public is invited to comment on the document and on the importance of the mine to Northwestern Colorado.
It is vital that OSMRE hear from the community before the public comment period closes on Aug. 14.
