In the Law of the Pack, a Cub Scout gives good will, and in the Boy Scout Promise, a Boy Scout promises to help other people at all times. By participating in a Scouting for Food program, local scouts came a step closer to fulfilling those words. Thursday, April 13, Pack 91 donated non-perishable items to the Methodist Church Food Bank, which feeds about 50 families every month. Vickie Johnson, coordinator for the food bank, said “It made her heart warm to see boxes and boxes of food being brought in by the boys,” and that “it was wonderful to be able to fill empty shelves.” A special thank you to all the local businesses that participated in this very special program and to the community for helping to end hunger. The pack will do another community service project in the summer. Many hands make light work!
