Christmas tree dump site…

The Town of Rangely’s Christmas tree dump site on Purdy Road on Rangely’s northeast end doesn’t have any Christmas trees yet, but it soon could. The town is accepting discarded trees at the site until Jan. 15.

CNCC classes in Meeker open for registration

MEEKER I Colorado Northwestern Community College’s spring community education classes, which start in early January, are open for registration. Spring schedules were mailed in mid-December to area residents. Several for-credit as well as special interest community education classes are now available.

Children invited to join 4-H Cloverbuds

MEEKER | The Meeker 4-H Cloverbud program invites children ages 5-7 to come experience scrapbooking, art and crafts, photography, cake decorating, baking, leathercraft, gardening, nature, camping, animals and much, much more! Elk enjoy good weather…

Wildlife was out enjoying the weather on Saturday east of Meeker. It was one of the few sunny days to be taken in recently. It seems that these seven elk and two turkeys, far left, didn’t mind each other’s company about 10 miles up County Road 8.
