Panther football dominates Dolores in a 44-6 victory

RANGELY | The Rangely Panthers bounced back in a big way Friday night, dominating Dolores with a 44-6 victory. After the previous week’s loss to Dove Creek, the Panthers were determined to start strong, and they did just that. Jordan Irwin had an outstanding performance, rushing for 181 yards on 11 carries and scoring four touchdowns, including a 52-yard run. Irwin also contributed to the passing game with a 42-yard touchdown reception.

Tristan Scott was a reliable target, catching four passes for 21 yards and converting three two-point conversions. On defense, the Panthers were equally impressive, with Gage Fielder intercepting a pass and returning it 54 yards for a touchdown. Chase Cochrane added another interception, while the defense forced and recovered two fumbles. The team totaled 58 tackles, with Scott and Fielder each recording 10 tackles.

The JV team kept the momentum rolling on Saturday, shutting out Dolores and getting contributions from multiple players on offense and defense. The Panthers’ defense was especially dominant, not allowing Dolores into the end zone in either game.

With strong offensive and defensive performances, Rangely is looking forward to carrying this momentum into their next game.
