RANGELY | On Saturday, Sept. 7 the Rangely Panther junior varsity football team hosted the Bulldogs of Dove Creek. The Panthers were not able to stop a powerful ground attack by the Bulldogs in the second have and found themselves down 0-14 at the half. The Panthers were able to turn momentum to their side in the second half and score their lone touchdown when freshman quarterback, Kevin Wren found fellow freshman Marstan Wagner for a 73-yard touchdown pass. The extra point conversion was no good and the Panthers fell to the Bulldogs 6-22. Other notable players for the Panthers JV were junior AJ Garner with eight tackles, freshman Wyatt Wiley and Corbin Lucero each had six tackles. The Panthers JV team will be back in action again on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Del Norte. This game will take place at 9 a.m.
