RANGELY | The eighth grade A team ran into a very tough Meeker Cowboys squad Saturday and were defeated by a score of 38-4.
The Cowboys were a much taller team and led to numerous offensive rebound easy baskets.
Playing for the eighth grade this year are Justin Allred, Ayden Christian, Clay Allred, Collin Zadra, Dalton LeBleu, Brode Low, Gage Fielder, Marcos Quintana, Jaxon Torsell, Ky Kirby, Landon Williams, Aaron Winkler, Davin Hinkle, Xavier Preciado and Izaiah Murry.
The B team fared better as they took the game into overtime but lost 28-32. Quintana led all scorers with 13, Fielder had six, Allred had three, and Zadra and Kirby had two apiece.
The Panthers host Steamboat next Saturday at 10 a.m.
