RANGELY | Rangely Panther volleyball traveled to Parachute on Aug. 24 to scrimmage Grand Valley and Rifle. Both JV and varsity fared well, according to head coach Marybel Cox.
JV gained some knowledge as many are new to high school play, with the exception of Crimsen Blankenship, who can offer some experience and leadership for the young team. Varsity is looking good with senior leadership from Andrea Knight, Hannah Wilkie and Zoey Peck. Coach Cox is excited for the new season.
“This is a great group of girls that are wanting to be better everyday,” Cox said.
Varsity will open their season on Sept. 6 with a home tournament. JV will open their season at the Grand Valley Tournament Sept. 7.
