RANGELY | It was a bit of a disappointing weekend for the lady Panthers dropping matches to both the West Grand Mustangs and Paonia Eagles. Both JV and varsity had difficulties getting their offense going in West Grand and the energy on the court seemed extremely low.
They bounced back some against the Eagles on Saturday. JV lost 2-0 but played better as a team getting some great defensive and offensive plays. Varsity took the Eagles to five games in a back and forth match finally losing 3-2. Highlights include senior Hannah Wilkie with 18 kills over the match and multiple Panthers with double digit digs.
The lady Panthers look to bring that momentum and energy back home for their Homecoming matches against the Hayden Tigers Friday evening and Cedaredge Bruins Saturday.
