RANGELY — The Rangely Panther wrestlers finished the regular season by defeating Coal Ridge 70-12, not many matches were wrestled due to injuries on Coal Ridge.
Chance Peters won by a pin at 103, Ryan Petty, Blake Wanstedt won by forfeit, 125 Devon Rose won by a 9-0 score, JC Chumacero won by a pin at 130, Cole Barlow won by a forfeit, at 140 Brandon Gray lost by a pin at the end of a very close match, Ryan Cramer won by a forfeit, Christian Holcomb won by a pin at 152 as did Keane Raley at 171, Bo Armstrong lost by a pin at 189, Mike Dillon and Kindal Cushman both won by forfeits.
The Panthers are gearing up for the regional tournament this weekend.
Wrestling starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. This is the state qualifier. A wrestler must place in the top four to make the trip to Denver. The Panthers are currently ranked fifth by On The Mat rankings.
