On Monday, July 23 Rangely 4-H members brought their pets and 4-H livestock projects to visit with the Eagle Crest Assisted Living residents. 4-H member Shauna Lapp showed Betty Jo Hackford her rabbit. The residents were delighted to see the large menagerie of animals including dogs, tortoises, a lamb, goat, horse and rabbits.
Ruthann Chavez, a resident of Eagle Crest, Annalee Nickson, driver of the Rangely Rambler (the senior bus), and Rangely’s very own treasure, 97-year-old Dorothy Pickens, were out enjoying Halloween.
Pam Brady’s third-grade class visited the local senior center to interview individuals, then returned with completed reports on the lives of the seniors they interviewed to discuss over lunch.
