PRESS RELEASE
MEEKER | Pioneers Medical Center announced Tuesday that its Chief Executive Officer, Liz Sellers, has resigned. She stated that she has accepted an opportunity to serve as Chief Executive Officer of another hospital outside the state.
Sellers will continue to support a smooth and thoughtful leadership transition.
“We are grateful for Liz’s leadership and the lasting impact she has made on our organization, said Board Chair Mark Schryver. “We are proud to see her recognized for her abilities and wish her continued success in the next chapter.”
To ensure stability and continued progress during this transition, the Board of Directors will work closely with Ovation Healthcare, Pioneers Medical Center’s trusted partners, to support hospital leadership and operations. As part of this partnership, Ovation will provide an Interim Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization during the transition period.
The interim CEO will report to the Board of Directors and work closely with hospital leadership, medical staff and employees to advance the hospital’s established strategic priorities and ensure uninterrupted delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, in close collaboration with the exceptional staff and providers who make Pioneers Medical Center a nationally recognized center of excellence.
“The Board remains deeply committed to our community, our patients, and our mission,” added Schryver. “This transition will be managed thoughtfully, with a clear focus on continuity, quality, and operational excellence.”
In parallel, the Board of Directors, with support from Ovation Healthcare, will initiate a comprehensive search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer.
Additional details regarding the interim leadership transition and next steps will be shared as appropriate.
