MEEKER | Pioneers Medical Center announced Tuesday that its Chief Executive Officer, Liz Sellers, has resigned. She stated that she has accepted an opportunity to serve as Chief Executive Officer of another hospital outside the state.
Pioneers Medical Center announced last week that Steve Hannah has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 27, as part of a carefully planned leadership transition.
Hannah brings deep experience as a hospital and health system CEO, with a proven track record of guiding organizations through periods of transition while maintaining operational excellence and patient-centered care. He is on site at Pioneers Medical Center, working closely with the leadership team, medical staff, and employees to provide stability, support ongoing progress, and maintain operational momentum.
“Steve’s experience and collaborative leadership style make him an excellent fit for Pioneers during this important time,” said Mark Schryver, Chair of the Pioneers Medical Center Board of Directors. “Our focus remains on continuity, quality,and operational excellence for our patients and community.”
Hannah will serve as Interim CEO while the Board of Directors, in partnership with Ovation Healthcare, conducts a comprehensive search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer. He will report directly to the Board and work alongside hospital leadership to advance existing strategic priorities and ensure uninterrupted delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
The Board also expressed its gratitude to Liz Sellers, who recently accepted an opportunity to serve as Chief Executive Officer at another hospital outside the state. During her tenure, Sellers led Pioneers Medical Center through a period of meaningful growth and progress, strengthening services and reinforcing the organization’s reputation as a nationally recognized center of excellence.
