MEEKER I An abundance of holiday performing arts events will entertain Meeker audiences over the next two weeks.
The Meeker United Methodist Church will present its annual Children’s musical play, “A Christmas Journey,” on Sunday at the 10:00 a.m. worship service. All persons are welcome, regardless of denomination.
The Holiday Christmas Cantata, “On this Shining Night,” will be presented by the renowned Meeker Community Choir, directed by Briana Williams, on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium. All persons are welcome to attend.
The Barone Middle School and Meeker High School holiday band concerts, directed by Jeff Hemingson, will be presented jointly at the Meeker High School auditorium on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
“The Fruitcake,” a hilarious one-act dessert theater presented by the MHS Drama Club, directed by Gary and Laurie Zellers, will be presented Dec. 18 and Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Meeker High School auditorium. Tickets are $10, and that includes delicious desserts and beverages. All proceeds will benefit the production of the Meeker High School Drama Club’s spring musical.
“The Nutcracker,” by Peter Tchaikovsky, will be presented by the Meeker Mainstreet Youth Ballet, directed by Jamie Cogswell, on Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium. Again, all are welcome to attend the performance.
