Special to the HT
MEEKER | Pioneers Medical Center (PMC) is pleased to announce the addition of new leadership team members and the promotion of three valued employees, reflecting the organization’s continued commitment to excellence in patient care and community engagement.
New Hires
Josh Martin has joined PMC as Director of Nursing. Originally coming to Pioneers as a travel staff member, Martin quickly developed a strong connection to both the organization and the Meeker community, ultimately deciding to make it his permanent home. Relocating from a larger city to a close-knit community like Meeker was an intentional decision for Martin, who believes healthcare is most meaningful when it is rooted in genuine connection. In addition to his leadership role at PMC, he serves as Head Softball Coach at Meeker High School and is an active member of the Meeker Arts and Culture Council board, demonstrating his dedication to community involvement. He and his wife, Becca, along with their two children, Penny and Trace, are excited to be part of the Meeker community and look forward to this new chapter.
Erika Wyld joins PMC as Marketing, Public Relations, and Pioneers Healthcare Foundation Coordinator. Having relocated to Meeker in 2025, Wyld is proud to call the community home and enjoys life on the mesa with her husband, Kyle, and their cattle dog, Punchy. She brings extensive national and global marketing experience, having led impactful campaigns for healthcare organizations across diverse markets. Her expertise will support PMC’s mission by strengthening outreach, communications, and philanthropic initiatives.
Promotions
Christy Atwood has been promoted from Meeker Family Health Center Director to Senior Director of Provider Services. A dedicated member of the PMC team for 21 years, Atwood has demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep institutional knowledge, and a strong commitment to both patients and staff. Throughout her tenure, she has played a key role in advancing care delivery and supporting providers across the organization. Outside of her professional role, she is a proud Nana to two energetic grandsons, a longtime volleyball official and former Meeker High School volleyball coach, and has been involved with the Range Call Rodeo for many years. In her new role, she will continue to strengthen provider services and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of PMC.
Natalie Scritchfield has been promoted from Executive Assistant to Compliance Coordinator. A dedicated member of the PMC team for five years, Scritchfield has consistently demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to the organization. Having moved to Meeker several years ago, she is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to pursue her passions through her work at PMC. In her new role, she will oversee compliance initiatives and help ensure PMC continues to meet the highest standards in healthcare operations.
Janae Stanworth, Senior Finance Manager, is on a leadership track toward Chief Financial Officer. This advancement is part of a professional development pathway through Ovation Healthcare and PMC. A Meeker native, Stanworth brings a strong background in finance, with experience working both for Rio Blanco County and within PMC. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys time with her spouse and children and is actively involved in the community as a club volleyball coach. Her knowledge, leadership, and commitment to the community position her well for continued growth within the organization.
“We are thrilled to welcome Josh and Erika to our leadership team and to recognize the outstanding contributions of Christy, Natalie, and Janae through their well-deserved promotions,” said Steve Hannah, Interim CEO. “Each of these individuals brings unique strengths and a shared commitment to serving our patients and community.”
