PMC preps for Spring Gala on Saturday

MEEKER I The sixth annual healthcare “Spring Gala” fundraiser is rapidly approaching.
This year’s event will continue the tradition of a great time while raising funds in support of community scholarships as well as many local healthcare programs and services.
The event will be held Saturday at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center and will feature entertainment by the Matt Holliday Band as well as casino tables for blackjack, craps and Texas hold-’em. Tickets are $40 per person.
Activities include a longest golfing drive competition, a putting course and attendees can have their portrait taken.
Ladies are encouraged to wear their best hat for the hat contest and gentlemen are asked to wear their best golf attire.
This year’s prizes include a foursome at Aspen Glen Golf Course in Carbondale, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course; a weekend stay at the Hyatt at Beaver Creek, with choice of golf or spa activities; and large potted flowers.
The three-course meal includes an hors d’oeuvres buffet, choice of a double pork chop or grilled airline chicken breast and a dessert buffet, all prepared by the chefs from the Elk Creek, Rio Blanco and Marvine ranches.
