MEEKER | A primary fuse disconnect device that failed on a power line behind White River Convenience was the cause of last Thursday’s power outage in Meeker. According to Frank Sampson of White River Electric, the device failed and “tripped out the whole town.” Everything went dark just after sunset for about 45 minutes. “It was a pretty good little event,” Sampson said. White River Electric Association linemen went to work immediately to isolate the source of the outage and make the necessary repairs.
